Monday Training

Fans flock to Geissbockheim

Monday marked the start of preparations for Saturday’s match against TSG Hoffenheim.

With the Easter holidays coming up, there were plenty of fans in attendance for Monday’s FC training. Despite several players still missing due to international duty, FC head coach Stefan Ruthenbeck had his share of players in attendance. Joining the training session from the youth ranks was U19 player Calvin Brackelmann.

Frederik Sorensen returned to training, albeit with a face mask to protect his recently operated nose. The trio of Simon Terodde, Milos Jojic, and Matthias Lehmann trained separately, but are all expected to rejoin the team by Wednesday. Also making strides since his foot operation was Sehrou Guirassy, who worked hard in the weight room.

The international players are all expected to return by Thursday at the latest. Ruthenbeck hopes to prepare his team for Saturday’s Hoffenheim match before then. “We have to find solutions to their pressure. We are opting to train this week in tight spaces,” said Ruthenbeck.
