The international break is slowly coming to an end. The non-internationals were given the weekend off, but on Monday it was back to hard work. Fitness, passing, and shooting were all on the agenda as the FC players shifted focus to Friday’s match against VfB Stuttgart. Asked how his players are responding to the current situation, Stöger stated, “I think they are in good spirits. This is obviously something they have not experienced before, but I think they are in a good state.”
A welcoming sight was Timo Horn, who was able to return to individual goalkeeper training with Alexander Bade. Missing in the group were Christian Clemens and Matthias Lehmann. “Christian was hit with the bug. We have to be careful with him. In the case of Matze, we just wanted to rest him another day. We are hoping that he will improve from day to day,” said FC head coach Peter Stöger.
The FC players will train Tuesday at 15:00.
