Ligament injury

Katterbach sidelined

FC left-back, Noah Katterbach suffered a ligament injury to his right ankle during the game against Bayern Munich on Sunday. That was confirmed by an MRI.

For Noah Katterbach, the game against the record Bundesliga champions was over after less than half an hour. After the 1. FC Köln defender cleared a corner with his head, he stepped awkwardly and rolled his ankle. He was treated directly on the pitch and it was quickly apparent that he could not continue. The FC youth academy starlet is now sidelined.

Previously, Katterbach had earned a starting spot in the back four, having started all of the last eight games. The Fritz-Walter-Medal winner has made 13 appearances this season.
