In order to ensure maximum security for the fans at home games, 1. FC Köln and Kölner Sportstätten GmbH have come up with additional supplementation to the stadium regulations at the RheinEnergieSTADION.
Accordingly, in future, it will not only be prohibited to burn or shoot fireworks or other pyrotechnic objects, but also to prepare or support such acts. This prohibition therefore includes, in particular, the prevention of the identification of perpetrators by holding banners or other objects obstructing the view at the same time.
In the event of violations against the stadium regulations, Kölner Sportstätten GmbH and 1. FC Köln as the organisers can impose contractual penalties. A concrete penalty catalogue has now been set for the first time, which regulates, for example, that covering the stadium site with stickers, etc. can in future be punished with a contractual penalty of 25 euros.
A penalty of up to 500 euros is payable if objects are thrown or fan articles of the visiting team are worn or demonstratively displayed in the areas of home fans with a provocative intention. Finally, people who burn pyrotechnic items or prepare or support such acts expect contractual penalties of up to 1,000 euros. Further claims for damages, injunctive relief or other contractual claims remain unaffected.
The new regulations came into effect when they were included in the stadium regulations. This means that they have been in place since the first home game of the 2012-13 season against SV Sandhausen.
