First new arrival for the Bundesliga

Jana Beuschlein joins FC Frauen

1. FC Köln Frauen have signed Jana Beuschlein from TSG Hoffenheim. FC have already confirmed their place in the FLYERALARM Frauen-Bundesliga for next season as champions. Beuschlein is the first signing of the new season.

Promotion has been secured and the planning for the new season for the FLYERALARM Frauen-Bundesliga is underway. For the new campaign, FC have strengthened with the arrival of Jana Beuschlein from TSG Hoffenheim. The 25-year-old striker has signed a contract until 30th June 2023. In the Bundesliga, she has scored eight goals in 59 games. Beuschlein has managed to find the back of the net 53 times in 118 2. Bundesliga matches. She is a three-time second division champion, and was top goalscorer in 2017-18 with 18 goals.

Head coach, Sascha Glass said: “We have followed Jana’s development intensively over a longer period of time. We’re pleased that the opportunity arose for us to bring her in. She is a very determined player and will strengthen us going forward, making us more variable. Jana comes from a top Bundesliga side and has always been dangerous in front of goal wherever she has played. She will help to achieve our goal of establishing ourselves in the Bundesliga.”

Jana Beuschlein said: “I am completed convinced of 1. FC Köln’s concept and never doubted that FC would return to the Bundesliga this year. For me, after seven years in Hoffenheim, it is a good time to start a new challenge. I am looking forward to FC, to Köln and I want to help FC stay in the Bundesliga with my goals.”
